Dominic Hogan is an Australian who has been living in Germany with his wife on the edge of the Black Forest since 2001, travelling around and entertaining children with the content of his children’s books in English and German. This book was written as Dominic learned the German language and integrated into local community by using his acting, creative writing and illustrating skills.

Mirko Herbst is a professional percussionist who has played with several bands in Germany as a drummer over the last 20 years. He is well known in the south of Germany for his "cajon-workshops". From daily workshops to weekly workshops he can be seen working with children at primary schools in and around the region, encouraging kids to form their own band and making their own music. Individuality is a big part of his workshop philosophy.
